Many
men have shared the all too common experience
of being under-fathered and thus consequently,
over-mothered. This has left men to struggle
on their own without guidance from elders to
learn true masculinity. Come participate in
a journey of spirit and heart as we learn the
richness of our personal expression of the masculine
archetypes.

Retreat Center
Our
privately owned, two acre island is the perfect
site for numerous programs including; men's'
retreats, rites- of- passages ceremonies, rituals,
workshops, and the base camp for local canoe
trips. Located on the Housatonic River in New
Milford , CT the island provides not only comforts
of two buildings with full kitchen and sleeping
facilitates, along with a 24 foot tipi, the
river boundary helps in the creation of sacred
and safe space. There is a rich history of the
families and friends who built and cared for
this unique retreat center since the early 1900s.

We
all experience many transitions in our lives.
The question is; how do we honor, support, and
celebrate these transitions? This inquiry leads
us to the very heart of, Rites-of-Passage ceremonies.
Unfortunately, for most of us in our society,
these natural transitions in life go unacknowledged,
denied, or treated in a trivial manner.
In
the ceremonies that we create together, the
"old ways" combined with our current
desires, are our guides. Each ceremony, whether
it be for ; guiding a boy into the family of
men, preparing for marriage or divorce, or honoring
a passing, to consciously celebrating a significant
birthday, provides each person with support
and guidance as they prepare for their important
life transition. The
